FreeComicBookDay Kansas CityComics are a quintessential form of American entertainment, and now they’re bigger than ever.  Even though most of us don’t actually read weekly comics, we are all familiar with the characters. I mean, who hasn’t seen the Spiderman or Batman movies?  And comic books aren’t just taking over the box office; Heroes, a drama about people with super powers, has been a huge hit for NBC.

So, if you’re a fan of the comic book craze but haven’t ever taken the plunge into actually reading any, here’s your chance! This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, an annual event where comic stores all over the country give out free comic books.

Trying to get your kids to read more?  Comics are a great way to get them excited about reading!  There are even comic book adaptations of classic literature, like Pride and Prejudice, A Tale of Two Cities and plenty of Shakespeare.

Big City Comix is less than 15 minutes away from Kings Quarters, so don’t miss out! You have nothing to lose (and some free stuff to gain)!
